Robert Jackson was a District 6 School
Board President when he launched the Campaign for Fiscal Equity school funding lawsuit in 2006. NYS’s highest court ruled that $5.5 billion must be committed for NYS and NYC public schools but this has yet to be fulfilled.
Ten years later, Jackson walked 150 miles to Albany to highlight the cause, and in November, he ran for NYS Senate and won through the grassroots efforts of parent groups.
